Hi.

I’m Sara-Jayne Martin a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Oslo, originally from Wales. Graduated from Swansea Metropolitan with a (BA) First Class Hons in Surface Pattern Design for Fashion and Interiors.

I currently work as an in-house print designer,designing a diverse range of graphic print for various high-street brands.

I’m a passionate surface pattern designer, trained in textiles for fashion and interiors. I use hand drawn illustrations and digital designs to create allover repeats and placement prints. I get the prints ready for production along with colour seperation and colourways to reflect briefs. My inspirational influences derive of historical textiles, travelling and visiting museums. I am aware of current trend analysis through researching WGSN, Tagwalk and various print focused blogs.
